The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has launched IMI2 – Calls 11 and 12

The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has now launched IMI2 – Calls 11 and 12.

IMI2 – Call 11 is a single-stage Call for proposals and includes one topic on the exploitation of IMI project results.
It focuses in particular on the following IMI projects:
EMTRAIN and PharmaTrain (both education and training),
EUPATI (patient education), Open PHACTS (data management), RAPP-ID (infectious disease diagnostics),
WEB-RADR (reporting of medicines side effects), and GetReal (incorporation of real world data into drug development).

Russian-Bulgarian initiative research projects competition announced by the Russian Foundation for Basic research (RFBR) and the National Center for Scientific Research of Bulgaria

The aim of this Competition is to grant financial support for prospective research projects that are conducted by Russian and Bulgarian scientists.
The Competition supports basic research projects that are jointly conducted by Russian and Bulgarian scientific teams in the area of Biology. The Competition supports research that is performed by Russian and Bulgarian scientists in research areas of mutual interest.

Joint Russian-Bulgarian initiative research projects competition announced by the Russian Foundation for Basic research (RFBR) and the National Center for Scientific Research of Bulgaria

The aim of this Competition is to grant financial support for prospective research projects that are conducted by Russian and Bulgarian scientists.
The Competition supports basic research projects that are jointly conducted by Russian and Bulgarian scientific teams in the area of Biology. The Competition supports research that is performed by Russian and Bulgarian scientists in research areas of mutual interest.

Joint competitions of the Russian Foundation for Basic research (RFBR) and National Research Council (CNR)

The objective of this competition is to welcome projects on basic scientific research and to grant financial support for prospective research projects that are conducted by individuals from Russia and Italy in the field of "Biotechnology and medical sciences".
Project duration - 3 years.
Russian participants and Italian parties should agree on the content and the name of the studies, and submit their projects by October 13, 2017.

Selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from the UK

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has announced the selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from the UK.
The project should be implemented within the selected prioritized research fields :
- cognitive disorders.
Maximum amount of grant per each Agreement should not exceed 10,8 million rubles to be distributed in the following manner:
in 2018 - up to 3,6 mln. rubles;
in 2019 – up to 3,6 mln. rubles.
in 2020 - up to 3,6 mln. rubles.

Selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from Hungary

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has announced the selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from Hungary.
The project should be implemented within the selected prioritized research fields :
- biotechnology.
Maximum amount of grant per each Agreement should not exceed 10 million rubles to be distributed in the following manner:
in 2018 - up to 3,33 mln. rubles;
in 2019 – up to 3,33 mln. rubles.
in 2020 - up to 3,33 mln. rubles.

Selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from Czech Republic

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has announced the selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from Czech Republic.
The project should be implemented within the selected prioritized research fields :
- medicine (neurotechnologies).
Maximum amount of grant per each Agreement should not exceed 21 million rubles to be distributed in the following manner:
in 2018 - up to 7 mln. rubles;
in 2019 – up to 7 million. rubles.
in 2020 - up to 7 million. rubles.

Selection of research projects conducted with participation of research organisations and universities from Switzerland

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has announced the selection of research projects conducted with participation of universities from Switzerland.
The project should be implemented within the selected prioritized research field "Life Sciences (incl. bioinformatics).
Maximum amount of grant per each Agreement should not exceed 9 million rubles to be distributed in the following manner:
in 2017 - up to 3 mln. rubles;
in 2018 - up to 3 mln. rubles;
in 2019 – up to 3 mln.rubles.
Application deadline: August 7, 2017.

Joint competitions of the Russian Foundation for Basic research (RFBR) and European Molecular Biology Laboratory

The aim of the competition is to grant financial support for initiative research projects being conducted by Russian scientists and representatives of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.
In the competition can participate projects on basic scientific research conducted in the following fields:
• Structural biology;
• Genomics;
• Biomolecular chemistry;
• Cell biology/imaging;
• XFEL technology development for life science application;
• High performance computing;
• Proteomics;
• Biochip diagnostics and engineering biochips;
